2013-10-10 - Being bad in Hand of Kul

Today I was a "bad boy" in Hand of Kul - gained 3 achievements worth 30 points by doing nasty things to other players :P I hope I did not make any long lasting enemies!

Also launched Borderlands 2 for 5 minutes- just to enter a free Shift code - 5J5JT-TFJHF-99TC6-5XBJJ-K9XHK that I got from - Examiner.com - it gives you 3 golden keys. Not sure how long this code lasts, may have been timed out by time you try it.

Last but least - did my daily moves in AlphaJax and got 2 new achievements. :)

2013-10-08 - Got my hands on Clash of Heroes

As you could see from my previous post, I had some issues with redeeming my Gold access code in XBL, but when it got sorted, off I went and downloaded this months "free for Gold members" game called "Clash of Heroes".

Did not play it for too long but so far I liked what I saw. Its turn based strategy and it gives you time to think and plan your moves (at least in single player / story mode). So it involves skills and luck, as you have no way to control, what kind of units you get in battle and in what order.

So far got 1 achievement in it:

2013-10-05 - Ascend: Hand of Kul

Got my hands on this new and free to play game today.

First impressions are pretty good! I like it. Reminds me a bit of Fable, as it involves a lot of running around in mystical world and battling enemies with swords and magic.

Got 125 achievements during first day.

2013-10-04 - Tron and WWE day

Today was quite busy day achievement-wise, I did score 30 easy points in WWE 12 and whopping 280G in Tron: Evolution.

I might shelve Tron for a while now as the only achievement left to do there is the "Evolved User" (Completed the game on the "Insane" difficulty level without changing the setting.) one ... But the downside of this achievement is that you can only select "Insane" after you have completed in on "Hard".

 

2013-10-03 - What a busy day

Today was quite busy day.

And that's both in life in and outside of Xbox - I had couple of recruiters contacting me with possible job offers. Nice if something good emerges from it.

Gaming wise I got multiple achievements in multiple games:

I played 5 different games, and got achievements in 4 of them. :)

30G in AlphaJax (Win 8)
30G in TC's RainbowSix Vegas
15G in Jetpack Joyride (Win 8)
0 G in Team Crossword (Win 8)
and
80G in Tron: Evolution

Not bad, eh? :)

WWE '12

Popped in new game today - WWE '12 ... I know it has been out for ages, but it was new to me to play.

First impressions are not too great :( Not sure if it is because I am European and never lived in WWE broadcasting coverage area, or is it just that the game is little bit "dumb".

There are not much instructions what to do and how. Lot of button smashing involved, lots of funny story about the modern gladiators (scripted) rivalry. Even on easy settings it is bit hard for me (hopefully it improves over time).

During my first day I got 60Gs and 4 achievements. I think I need to concentrate on the online achievements ASAP, as the functionality will be going down in end of October 2013 (source: trueachievements.com).

Microsoft Mahjong

Great little Windows 8 game with few easy to obtain achievements. Basically had to change once how the game looks, and Complete one hard Puzzle. :)

Completed the game quite quickly - 3 achievements and 25G - on 21st September 2013

Microsoft Solitaire

Not many achievements on this game - only 3 and worth total 40 points. But as I have Win 8.1 on my multiboot laptop, I went for it!

NB. This game was free to download from Microsoft Store, so I cannot complain, or can I?

Microsoft Minesweeper

This Minesweeper is little bit different what is the "good old Minesweeper" that did not change its looks through Win 98, 2000, XP. Still playable tho. :)

This game has 4 achievements, all were relatively easy, the most challenging was definitely the "Good Memory" (Completed a minefield for the first time without using any flags) - that took some proper planning and double checking before marking a square "safe to remove".

The game is free, so those 50G did cost me nothing but little time on my Windows 8 machine. :)
