2013-12-29 - 10 achievements in a day

Phew, what a day... 4 different games / 10 achievements

Started the day (actually night, as played between midnight and 2AM) - "new" game: WSOP - Full House Pro. It is free to play game, that I downloaded some time ago, just never got around to play it.

I am not big gambling game fan, because I tend to be unlucky person, what becomes to "games of chance" and lotteries and such. Still, had some fun in the game and got 4 achievements in it.

At normal hours I played a little multiplayer in AC3. Did not play for long, but got one of the "silly" achievements done. :)

Then came the daily dose of Kung Fu fighting - 4 levels mastered, 4 achievements.

Last but least - decided to fire up again one old but good arcade game - Defence Grid. It's a game I have not played for long time - last achievement in the game was from 2nd February 2012.

Today I played through several missions in the campaign mode and then replayed one mission and tried to get the gold medal ... and like you see from below, I did.

2013-12-28 - 7 achievements day

Today played 2 games and got altogether 7 achievements - 4 in Kung Fu Panda and 3 in Shoot Many Robots.

Nothing too complicated with the Panda - just going through the levels and completing them 100%.

In Shoot Many Robots I did some grinding and got the "10000 kills" achievement. I must say, I was somewhat lucky today with the other 2 achievements. Punching bullets is not my thing, I tend to jump around and trying to avoid them altogether, but somehow I managed to be at right place at right time. Similar lucky break came with the Fatherhood Domination achievement - finding the baby carrier in one of the loot boxes ... could of taken a lot of time.

2013-12-27 - Busy day with 3 different games

Game wise it was a busy day - played 3 different games and got achievements in all of them.

Lets start with the new one first - got myself a bargain recently - Plants vs. Zombies was on sale in Xbox Live and I grabbed it immediately - cost was little over 1 euro, might have been 1.99 USD. Not bad eh?

Anyway, went through the first few missions and the super-easy achievement popped.

Then it was time to replay the missions in Kung Fu Panda and get myself closer to the 100% game completion. Managed to get 4 achievements done during the day with some pauses between game time. Now I am 120 GS closer to 1000/1000.

Finally, it was time to do some co-op with my son. Played several of hours and we both got several achievements done in D&D Daggerdale. The screenshot is only for the achievement and not the game cover image because we started in the evening and got few achievements after midnight. Time flies when you have fun and don't have a clock in front of you. :)

2013-12-25 - Kung Fu Expert

Today played a lot of Kung Fu Panda and got 4 achievements in the game. +80 GS

Completed 3 levels with 100% and managed to do the tricky one "Untouchable".

2013-12-24 - New game - D&D Daggerdale

Played new game today D&D Daggerdale

As I only played through tutorial and few co-op missions, cannot really comment on the game if I like it or not. First impression was quite good, but the enemies so far were quite easy to beat.

2013-12-23 - Ultimate Dragon Warrior

Not much gaming going on today, still got one "hard" achievement done in Kung Fu Panda: "Ultimate Dragon Warrior" (All Upgrades have been purchased).

It was "hard" because if you do it in legit way, you get it somewhere in the end of game - you need to buy every skill upgrade and outfit. It was not hard, because when I did the "Panda Stumble Extreme" achievement, I found a place where you can earn a lot of coins in very short time by just endlessly stumbling over the training dummies what give coins when defeated and that keep re-spawning.

Hopefully now when my Panda is pimped to maximum skills, beating all the levels without dying and completing them 100% is not that hard. Time will tell.

2013-12-22 - Time for another new old game - Kung Fu Panda

Decided to revisit today another game from my "forgotten" section of games. Kung Fu Panda.

Its fun game, where you run around as the Kung Fu Panda from the movie (and some side quests you play as some other character from the movie.)

This game was "shelved" for 4 years 7 months and 17 days! :) Last achievement I got on 5th May 2009.

Got 2 achievements today... +40GS.

2013-12-20 - Almost done with TMNT

Almost finished the TMNT game. Finished 3 levels today (204G) and now I have only 2 more levels to do and one special achievement to get 100% completion on this game.

2013-12-19 - Turtles and Minecraft

Today played 2 games, TMNT and Minecraft. Got only achievements in TMNT as I have completed Minecraft ages ago - but it is still fun to play it sometimes and just endlessly mine and build something. :)

In TMNT, progressed through 2 levels and ended up getting one special one for using one turtles special power. Not bad - 146G in a day.

2013-12-18 - Turtles and Robots

You guessed it ... I am still stuck with shooting robots and fighting crime dressed as a turtle. :)

Nothing too complicated in the TMNT game. Finish 2 levels, get 2 achievements.

In the arcade game Shoot Many Robots, spent most time playing it online. Managed to get some of the more complicated achievements done today. The "Slotally Tober Saughter" (Beat a tough mission without the aid of beer or resurrection!) was quite hard. I had to make sure I dodge the missiles and stay out of trouble as much as possible, and when I found trouble and got myself to low on health, I had to resist the urge to push the "heal me" button.

And I cheated a bit with "Number One Tugnut" (Got first place in a four player mission!). We used 2 consoles, 2 players connected to each, and then basically only I was playing and other people just moved their characters closer and closer to the finish line. :)

That's how we achievement whores roll, I guess... :P

2013-12-17 - Robots and Turtles

New day, same games.

Got 3 achievements in Shoot Many Robots and discovered that multiplayer is more fun in this game compared to single player campaigning.

2013-12-16 - Shooting Many Robots

Today MS made available another arcade game free for Gold members: Shoot Many Robots

Being into gaming and free stuff, I downloaded the game and gave it a try. Its pretty fun. Pretty straight forward. You good. Robots bad. You shoot many robots. They drop coins. You collect coins. You buy better guns. You kill more robots. You level up.

Did not play too much today, so only got one simple achievement in the game. 10G for killing 100 robots.

2013-12-15 - More TMNT

After completing Lego Indiana Jones earlier today, decided to do a level or 2 in TMNT.

Nothing too special. Completed 2 levels, and gained one extra achievement.

2013-12-14 - TMNT and Indiana Jones

Today I played two games.

In TMNT I got 4 achievements by playing through 2 levels and using 2 turtles special moves the first time. Extremely easy 120G!

After time spent with the Mutant Turtles decided to fire up another Lego game that was shelved for almost 4 and half years. Last achievement from Summer 2009:

 

The game in question is Lego Indiana Jones. And the achievements left undone were mostly the "secret" / grinding ones.

After consulting well informed sites in internet and after some dedicated grinding I unlocked 4 out of the missing 7 achievements:

If I can do the last 3 achievements tomorrow, then this game is completed 100% :)

2013-12-13 - 13th Friday

Nothing bad happened to me on this 13th Friday. Played a little and studied a lot.

2013-12-12 - Mutant Turtles are here

Started playing "new" game today, the 2007 released TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). New in a sense, that I have not played that game before. :)

First 70G came very easily. First one came just for finishing the first level (more like a tutorial level) and second one as I did not take any damage during the tutorial. Easy-peasy. I suspect the later chapters will be more challenging, although this kind of platform jump games are relatively easy and are often made more for children than adult gamers.

2013-12-11 - Wheelman managed to piss me off again

I just "love" those achievements when you have to use a map and search for X amount of things in the open map. Those achievements would be pain in the ass if you have to do them on your own, luckily there are usually tutorials and maps available for the secret locations in the internet.

Wheelman is quite old game and some of the online tutorials have unfortunately vanished - the game is 4 and half years old by now. I found some forum posts with some map images (and some images missing from the imageshack host. I found some other images with no descriptions. Putting 2+2 together gives more or less complete picture of the locations. Unfortunately at the end of getting near 100 locations discovered I see that I seem to have 2 missing. Now I am not sure if to start game again and search for the damn cat statues again to be 100% sure I have got all ... or revisit every location where the cat is supposed to be, but as the instructions are not very exact, no way of telling is the missing few cats supposed to be there or are they collected already.

When I was bored with cat hunting, I did some hot potato side-missions and got 1 achievement.

2013-12-10 - Wheelman day

Did some side-missions in Wheelman and then decided to go out and hunt down all the cat statues. It took more time than I expected so I decided 50 is enough for now and I do the other 50 tomorrow.

Was busy today with studying so had little time to play. Still ... I managed get in Wheelman some of them side missions behind me and get 3 minor achievements, worth total 25G.

2013-12-08 - Damn offline behaviour

I don't understand Microsoft. How hard it would be to program their sites in a way that "if achievement X was not recorded in MS server yesterday and if MS sees it is achieved today, USE TODAYS DATE with the server, but noooo. MS lists such achievements with no date. :(

Anyway, I got 3 achievements in Wheelman today, for some reason Xbox Live connection was dropped while I was playing and 2 achievements I got when there was no connection. And like I ranted before, xbox.com shows them as obtained who-knows-when. Bad Microsoft, BAD!!! :(

The good thing is that I finished Wheelman main story and got the "Real Wheelman" 50G achievement. Now all I need to do is the side-missions.
