2013-11-16 - Two Lego games and one new free-for-gold-members game

Today I finished Lego Batman - where I had one forgotten achievement to do. Took me about 1 hour of gaming to get the last achievement and the 100% completion. Amazing to see that previous achievement was obtained almost exactly 5 years ago.

Second Lego game I spent some time on was LEGO Star Wars: TCS where I got 4 achievements worth 80G.

Last but not least - this months (November 2013) second free game for Xbox Live Gold members - Iron Brigade, where I also got 4 achievements on my first day. As it is an arcade game, they were only worth 25G.

2013-11-15 - 3 times undefeated at LEGO Star Wars II

Today went through the 3 levels in the game and got 3 of them "wow, you did not die" achievements. Total gain 60GS.

2013-11-14 - 2 times undefeated at LEGO Star Wars II

Not much gaming done today, but managed to get done 2 achievements worth 40G.

As I have now unlocked one of the "ghost" characters, the "don't die once" achievements are not that hard at all in free play mode. All enemies ignore the ghost (I presume they cannot see it or figure out they cannot kill it) and focus on their energy on the AI controlled sidekick. So this leaves the main player very safe and only way to fail the achievement is to fall to your death. :)

And if you do manage to get yourself killed by falling off from somewhere, only option is usually to quite the level and restart from the beginning. I had to do it once as one jump to a platform went bit too far and my character fell to his death. :)

2013-11-13 - Half way there

Another day where I only played one game - this time it was again Lego Star Wars II.

I got only 2 achievements, but they were the heavy ones, score ways ... in total 130G. And as you see from screenshot below, now the score is 500/1000. :)

"Lego city complete" was easy to do - its just an achievement, that you cannot do in beginning of the game. You have to have progressed relatively far in the game to have enough gold bricks to build the door to the Lego city. Once you have it built, it is easy.

"Game 80% complete" - this is just one that comes over time when you have re-played the levels in normal or free mode and collected more and more bricks and mini-kits.

2013-11-12 - Bounty hunter missions done in LEGO Star Wars II

Busy day, not too much time spent on gaming. Managed to get one more achievement done in LEGO Star Wars II.

It was quite fun one - the bounty hunter missions. Different from main story in a sense that you have only 3 minutes to "solve" a mystery of one character location. Reminds me of the hide-and-seek game - you have to find someone within time limit. If you manage to do it, you get gold brick, if not, the options are to retry or give up.

2013-11-11 - Slow progress in LEGO Star Wars II

Played few hours and only thing I got was game completion percentage rose from 60,2% yesterday to 64%. Got no GS or no achievements. Maybe tomorrow? :)

2013-11-10 - 60% done in LEGO Star Wars II

After few hours of gaming today I finished going through the main story in story mode. Game completion was around 57%. After spending my hard earned studs on some un-lockable characters I saw that game completion raised to 60,2% and at the same time the attachment popped. :)

Now "all" I need to do in this game is go through the levels in Free-play mode and find all the mini-kits and power bricks and work my way closer to the 100% completion. And go through the levels without dying... that's the hard part. Wish me luck!

2013-11-09 - I rescued the Princess

Feeling better after my illness, played a little of the old LEGO Star Wars II game. Got one achievement worth 20G in it.

Damn those "without dying once" achievements are hard - it is so easy to slip somewhere or get hit by enemies in this game. Looks like I have to play through the game on my own and then get a friend to help me with the achievements - let him be the one who takes risks and gets killed, while I concentrate on staying alive.

2013-11-04 - More rope cutting

Busy day (what else is new, eh?).

2013-11-01 - A World of Keflings

Downloaded new game today: A World of Keflings - It is free for the first half of November of 2013. And as I am a gold member on XBL - of course I am going to download and play it.

On my first day, I got 3 achievements. Only got to play it for maybe max 2 hours.

2013-10-31 - Adera time

2013-10-31 - Time to something really old

Time to play something very old ... Went through my old games and decided to have another go with LEGO Star Wars II.

This game has been unused since summer 2009... more than 4 years. Time sure does fly...

It is one of many games that I have owned for ages, but somehow stopped playing it. As you see from the achievement history - I got last achievement in June 2009 and one before that in April 2008.

2013-10-29 - Borderlands 2, the end is near

The end of BL2 is near for me, I have got almost all achievements in it.

Got one more today so I am 3 achievements short from 100% completion.

2013-10-28 - Borderlands 2 grinding

I am in the very end of BL2 and obtaining its achievements. Spent some time in it grinding for the 2 achievements I got today.

In the Hammerlock's Hunt DLC I had to run around and kill few specific animals that only spawn in some specific areas on random intervals and not so commonly. Well, Google is our friend and I found instructions, what areas to check, and then do the classical "load your save game, run around, kill animals, save, quite and repeat".

The "Challenge Accepted" achievement was even more bizarre. For it to be unlocked, you have to have "Completed level 1 of all non-level-specific challenges with a single character". The problem is that 2 of the level 1 challenges become only available after you get level 5 in two other challenges. I was stuck of getting 750 point blank kills with shotguns, as it just is not my gaming style. I am more sneaky sniper kind of guy who uses turrets or grenades or rocket launcher to get rid of enemies form distance.

2013-10-27 - Borderlandholism day

Today was crazy day, did quite long Borderlands 2 gaming session. Did many many achievements, some on my own, some with help of friends. :)

2013-10-26 - Borderland 2 time

What a chill day. Had some good times with my family and played some Borderlands 2 in the evening.
