Warframe - how to solo the No Brainer achievement

Today I finally decided to attempt this extremely hard achievement in the Warframe called "No Brainer".

If you ever wondered how to do it, you probably have checked out already the achievement page ta TrueAchievements website, but the solutions there are for 2-players boosting, where one player has to disconnect and re-connect and bla bla bla.

I will tell you how to do it solo and it is not that hard.

First of all, the frame to use. Stealth is the essence of my play-style so I went with Ivara. Standard mods nothing weird - mine is built for duration and efficiency for long lasting prowling.

Do not bring Kubrows or Kavats as they may go and kill someone. Do not put weapon on the sentinel, as then the sentinel may kill someone, and DO NOT cast any spectres. I tested this, if your spectre kills someone, it is added to your kill count and makes you fail with this achievement attempt.

You do not need a sniper, but if you are going to attempt head-shot achievement you need something powerful and precise, I suppose you can pick anything you have, I went with Vectis Prime.

As a secondary - this is where the trick is - you need something that does a little damage, and has high status chance. I went with Staticor just because it has built in radiation damage and no other damage types at all. I modded used following mods on my Staticor

  • Jolt
+60% Electricity and +60% Status chance
  • Perpetual Agony
    +30% Status duration
  • Scorch
+60% Heat and +60% Status chance
  • Stunning Speed
+40% Reload speed and +10% Status chance
  • Suppress
    Make the weapon completely silent
  • Sure Shot
    +15%Status chance

As you see, I only used 6 mods and left 2 slots unused. This setup changed its stats as follows:

  • Noise from Alarming to Silent
  • Reload from 1.5 to 1.1
  • Status chance from 25% to 61%
  • Radiation damage from 19 to 42

Before you run to attempt the mission, go to the Gear setup and equip the Extinguished dragon key, You will want to reduce the amount of damage you will do with your Staticor.

There is only one place where this achievement can be obtained - it is Void, Oxomoco. When mission starts, put down energy pad and get your energy maximised, or if you use Energy Siphon mod / arcane on your warframe just wait till you have plenty of energy for Prowling.

Put the prowl on, and GO!

Do the first shot/kill with your sniper and after done check the stats if it was counted as head-shot. If not, quit and start again.

Now you want enemies do all the killing and you just spectate. put away the sniper and from now on, only use the under-powered Staticor. Stay invisible and shoot one of the enemies. if he gets the "radiation icon" then his team mates turn against him and they start fighting each other. Rinse and repeat till end of the game. Take your time and double check who you are shooting before hitting the trigger. If you shoot enemy who is really low at health, your Staticor shot may kill you and mess up your achievement attempt.

If you are running low on energy, find a "quiet room" and deactivate prowl, pop an energy pad and get your energy reserves up again.

If you shoot enemy in the room with turrets, even the turrets start shooting that enemy and usually killing it quite quickly.

As now the game keeps spawning enemies even after X out of X enemies are killed, you do not have to kill everyone, so you can leave the ones with lets say less than 10% health/shields behind and don't worry about them. Only shoot the enemies you know will not be one shot kills with your Staticor.

As I said, take your time, but don't take too long time, eventually Lotus will tell you, "mission failure is eminent" and then you have 60 seconds to finish and extract.

Warframe Relic runs

I have recently seen some debate in forums and FB groups, where some people say it is good idea and some say it is bad idea to have 4 people running 4 radiant relics at the same mission.

I am not a scientist, so don't take this post as the ultimate truth, but just something what my common sense is telling me.

Numbers on this page are based on what is written at http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Relic today and may change over time if DE changes something in the game in future patches.

Drop chances when using radiant relic are as follows:

Common - 50%
Uncommon - 40%
Rare - 10%

As there is 3 Common items - 16.7% per item
As there is 2 Uncommon items - 20% per item
As there is 1 Rare item - 10%

Wikia also says if 4 people all have radiant relics equipped and running them so called "parallel", then the drop chance of Rare item is 34%. How someone got this number - I don't know.

IMHO it is bad idea to run 4 radiant relics at same tie just because "what if" all 4 people draw Rare item from their relics? Mathematically that is not very likely, but it can happen sometimes just like sometimes people do win the lottery. In this case, it would mean that 3 rare items just went down the drain.

Sure, running the 4 relics one by one in team of 4 takes more time, but rewards IMHO are much better.

Lets do the simple math.

1st run:

50% chance to get a Common item
40% chance to get a Uncommon item
10% chance to get a Rare item

Same chances for the 2nd 3rd and 4th run.  So add those 4 together and you get:

200% chance to get a Common item
160% chance to get a Uncommon item
40% chance to get a Rare item

So based on the adding up the chances and user picking always the best rewards in 4 runs - the Rare part drop chance is 40% and for the Uncommon part 60%. The other 300% can be ignored, because those low rarity items are not picked in the end of a mission/wave (because You only can choose 1 out of 4 rewards in the selection screen).

This 40% Rare and 60% Uncommon IMHO means better odds than the Wikia mentioned "4 parallel rare relics" giving you a 34% chance for at least one rare item.

So in other words, you will most likely get 1 Rare part and 3 Uncommon parts out of 4 relic runs, 2 Rare / 2 Uncommon if you are lucky. If you get more than 2 Rare parts - you really should play The Lotto instead of warframe. :)

Warframe credit farming - rules and suggestions

Hi folks, this is a post I made initially Warframe Xbox One Facebook group about my ideas and suggestions of good credit farming.

Don't take it as strict rules that you must do and must not do, but as suggestions what would IMHO work and what would not work so good, if your aim is to get lots of credits in the game.

The Rules:
  1. Bring a Secure Lecta
Have it equipped and use only that to maximize the profit. You can bring primary and secondary weapons as "backup" but use them only as last resort and make sure they are holstered and not active during melee attacks.
  2. Stay close to the pod
Share the XP/credits with other players by staying close to each other.
It is sometimes tempting to chase down some enemies that run away from the pod (only do it if it is the last enemy or one that is stuck in the wall on another side of the map).
  3. Mix of frames
One desecrating Nekros is a must for endless supply of health orbs and the extra loot. Speed nova will make the bad guys come to the pod faster... Maybe bring a frost and put a bubble around the pod to make the enemies slow down around the pod.
  4. Do not use WF powers that can kill
Let the Lectas do all of the killing (so do NOT use The Shadows, no World on Fire, etc.)
  5. No animals, no weapons on companions.
Don't bring your favorite kubrows or kavats to credit farm and don't equip weapons on companions. Carrier or something else with vacuum mod equipped is recommended to make loot grabbing easier.
  6. Mods and auras.
This could deserve their own page about this, but I keep it short.

In essence anything goes. If every lecta has different damage type that might help to kill bad guys faster. But build your Lecta with gas damage - it makes most sense, as you would be farming credits on infested map.

As Nekros would provide tons of health orbs, rejuvenation is not going to be useful at all. I recommend everyone having "Steel Charge" equipped because it: "increases normal melee attack damage by 10% per rank, for a maximum of 60% at max rank. Stacks with other teammates using it for a maximum of 240% normal melee attack damage."

"Coaction Drift" of a frame is strongly recommended as it "when maxed, will increase your aura's strength by 15% × (1 + 15%) + 15% = 32.25% for yourself, and 15% for everyone else. When combined with Steel Charge, it will increase your melee damage by 1.3225 × 60% = 79.35%, and increase your squadmates' melee damage by 1.15 × 60% = 69%".

Also having "(Primed) Pressure Point" and "Spoiled Strike" on the whip would help as those 2 combined with the 2 frame mods would "boost an individual player's melee damage by 298%. (343% if you have Primed Pressure Point)".
  7. Location, location, location.
Most people would say Akkad, but I personally would recommend Kala-Azar. Its the exactly the same familiar map, but it has much bigger chance of getting Axi and Neo relics (I usually get 2 or 3 relics when doing 20 waves. Few times even 4 relics out of 20 waves).
  8. Duration
I suggest 20 or 40 waves because of the A, A, B, C rotation. Surviving even longer in a good team should not be an issue - but it pays to be careful and save the progress often. I don't want to suggest doing too long runs as few times the game has not been able to update and all progress has been lost.

Any other rules or suggestions to add?

Warframe resources and where to mine them

Today's post is about resources in Warframe and where to mine them.

Resources drop "randomly" in the missions you do, but you can also send out extractors to mine planets for resources. They will do it automatically, even when you are not in the game. Smaller extractors take 4 hours and bigger ones 8 hours to finish mining.

In the beginning I used to send out extractors to "random" planets because all resources are good, but now as I have made my life bit easier - I created this one-page sheet to help me quickly look up what resource can be mined on what planet.

Most planets have 4 resources and when you send extractor to that planet you have 25% chance of getting the resource you want. Only exception to the rule is Pluto what has 5 resources so 20% chance.

Warframe Relic Drops

Hi all,

Today I had some free time so I created this 4-page PDF file to help you with the Relics. You can look at it from your tablet or PC or if you like, you can print it out and write some notes on it.

Every page lists one type of Relic rewards - what can drop when you successfully finish a Void Fissure mission solo in a group. Just have the tablet or printout nearby when you do Void Fissure missions with a team.

When you finish solo, you only have one random reward so there is no user input needed ... BUT when you have 2-4 players in a team in a Void Fissure mission, every player gets random reward based on what relic they equipped. In the end of successful round you can take your reward or you can pick reward from another player. THIS is where this PDF file comes in handy.

It helps you quickly look up, who has unlocked the most valuable reward, or who has a reward that you want, be it a hard-to-find component of some frame or weapon, or something that you can sell for Ducats in the Kiosk. The number behind the name is its value in Ducats in case you do plan selling it in the Kiosk. The cells that are marked yellow, are vaulted relics, they are definitely worth grabbing even if you don't need it. Some of the vaulted pieces can fetch you a lot of platinum from other players.

There are 3 columns representing the rarity of the drops. On the left we have Common and on the right Rare drops. So if you are not sure what reward to grab, take the one with bigger Ducat value.

The PDF file is uploaded to Google Drive and I may or may not update it over time if I feel like it.

WTS Warframe mods

I am quite hooked with the free to play game Warframe. As I am running low on Platinum (the in-game currency) - I decided to set up this page to list some items for sale.

I am on the console most weekdays somewhere between:
  • 5PM and midnight CET (Central European Time)
  • 9AM and 4PM PST (US West Coast)
  • 12AM and 7PM EST (US East Coast)
More on the weekends.

So here is a list of Mods that can be obtained with max rank in the New Loka and in the The Perrin Sequence syndicates. My pricing is very straightforward. Most mods cost 25000 syndicate points, those mods are for sale for 25 Platinum. Syndicate weapons cost 100K or 125K standing are thus are NOT for sale for 100/125 PL, but I would consider straight swaps for other syndicate weapons of same value.
